By the Community, for the Community

Our History

Originally Farm Hands – Nourish the Flathead, Land to Hand MT is a grassroots, community organization founded by farmers, eaters, business leaders, and food system planners from around the Flathead Valley. Our interests include ecologically sound, socially just, and economically viable ways of growing food and making it accessible to everyone regardless of income.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit – our EIN is 27-2056363. Donations to our organization are tax deductible under federal and state laws.

Our Mission

The mission of Land to Hand MT is to build a strong community food system that fosters socially just ways of accessing food.

Our Vision & Values

We grow and distribute food in ecologically sound and economically viable ways that are accessible to everyone regardless of income.

We ensure affordable access to local and nutritious food for seniors, school children and families with limited means.

We support local farmers who are the foundation of our food system and connect the community to local sources and farms.

We engage our community in respectful and inclusive ways as volunteers, advocates and stewards of our mission, and youth educators and mentors.

We partner with community organizations to further our mission and avoid duplication of services.
