Double SNAP Dollars in Northwest Montana
We operate Food Access Booths at the Kalispell and Whitefish farmers markets where children, families, and seniors can redeem SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) dollars to spend on eligible foods such as local produce, honey, eggs, meats, cheese, bread, and more! We are a part of the Montana Double SNAP Dollars Network, and offer a FREE match (up to $30!) for SNAP redeemed at farmers markets. This means if you redeem $25 in SNAP, you walk away with $50 total to go spend – $25 in SNAP and $25 in Double SNAP Dollars (DSD). Double SNAP Dollars help boost SNAP clients’ budgets during the market season, and may only be spent on fresh fruits and vegetables, and plant starts.
Come visit our Land to Hand MT booth to get started with Double SNAP Dollars. Scroll down to view or click here to download a pamphlet for some more information about the program. It also lists all of the regional markets where you can use SNAP and receive Double SNAP Dollars!

Flathead County residents aged 60 and older who are on a tight budget may receive a FREE coupon booklet once per farmers market season. These booklets are worth $48, with twelve $4 coupons and can be used to purchase Montana grown fruits, vegetables, and raw honey. You can spend these like cash all at once or use them to subsidize purchases over the market season.
Land to Hand joined the statewide Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) in 2024, and we are excited to bring this important program to our community to help seniors access more local, nutritious food.
